Counter-Strike is a free moodification(mod) for Half-Life. It has been around for over a year now and the creators have joined Valve. It is a mod based on Counter-Terrorists(CT's) and Terrorists(T's). This mod is so real-life looking it's not even funny. There is a wide range of weapons, some of which the CT's can have and the T's can't and vise versa. There are four different scenarios of maps for CS, which are as follows: Hostage Rescue, Bomb Diffusion, Assasination, and Escape. In Hostage Rescue scenario maps the CT's have to rescue the hostages from the T's. In the Bomb Diffusion scenario, T's have to plant a bomb and the CT's have to diffuse it. In Assasination the CT's have to protect and guide a Very Important Person(VIP) to the rescue site. Finally in Escape scenario maps, which I think are going to be gotten rid of, the T's have to escape from the CT's.
